      Impact Selector’s Advanced Kickover Tool (AKT) is designed to deliver exceptional performance during gas lift interventions. The AKT is used globally, with a proven track record of success at inclinations up to 83° and can be supplied to suit all gas lift mandrel sizes.

      The AKT incorporates many unique features, including highly efficient rollers which eliminate contact friction, enabling access to gas lift mandrels located at higher deviations.A further benefit of reduced friction is a more precise indication at surface of tool string load transfer. This al- lows the slickline operator to identify tool string movement more easily, enabling improved decision making and reducing the chance of a misrun.

      The majority of the industry remains cautious when designing gas lift completions, tending to place gas lift mandrels in areas of the well that are considered accessible using standard slickline techniques.However, this approach can lead to suboptimal production rates. The AKT specifically addresses these challenges, enabling gas lift mandrels to be positioned at greater true vertical depth therefore optimizing production opportunity.

      To enable access and maximize operational efficiency within mandrels located at higher deviations, Impact Selector’s Roller Bogie® conveyance system and Low Loader Roller Bogie Jar are typically used in combination with the AKT.

              Impact Selector’s Slickline Roller Bogie tools enable slickline operations to be performed more quickly and easily. Operators can perform the work using the same equipment without changing wireline operating procedures resulting in time savings with less risk. This is the most efficient conveyance system available.

              Used in most wellbore conditions, up to 87 degrees deviation slickline Roller Bogie tools can be installed at any point in the tool string. With independent swivels, the self-orienting roller body ensures the rollers are at all times oriented to the low side of the tubing. The tool string is lifted onto large, highly-efficient rollers, eliminating contact friction and enabling easier and deeper wellbore access.

              Running weight remains positive and steady, pick-up weight is greatly reduced and the risk of wire breakage is lowered; jarring can be precise and more effective. Slickline Roller Bogie tools are available in a wide range of sizes to pass through all wellbore restrictions and can be ordered with a choice of connection types to suit individual tool string requirements.

                      As an integral part of Impact Selector’s Intelligent Conveyance Solutions, pre-job modeling provides the service company and operator with insights into optimum tool string design, wire selection and other operational fundamentals.

                      The results of pre-job modelling such as availability of overpull at target depth can be used to calculate the best setting for an open or cased hole wireline jar to avoid accidental firing when pulling out of hole, but ensure the jar will fire before maximum pull at surface is reached.

                      Impact Selector has conducted in-house testing to measure the friction reduction capabilities of our Roller Bogie and I-Wheel tools when strategically placed along any wireline tool string. When the results of these tests are combined with the ability to reduce the resistive frictional forces of independent tools in a computer model the output clearly demonstrates and quantifies the benefits of roller systems.
